Just a Vent:
The general health advice above realty needs to get re-vamped.
"Junk food" is obviously bad, but "good" food is obviously not going to do much to people with digestive problems.
Tired of hearing general Drs and health care in general say this. So I tell them what I really think. And it baffles them. They know very MINIMAL to nothing about
addressing peoples digestive issues other than the standard - "try some probiotics".

Related to my vent:
I have been seeing a new (to me) Functional MD who has interest in this area. So I'll be my own spectator AGAIN and see if this one has new ideas.
I'm doubtful, but not completely. At least insurance covers this one (rare indeed!!).
One new idea was a homocyctine test, because liquid energy drinks with B6 and B12 calm me in an energizing way. B6, B12 pills/capsules, no matter how expensive do nothing to me > not absorbing them properly?. B6 and B12 "clears" excess homocyctine, so the energy drinks might actually be doing that. Note: the ones I use have LESS caffeine than coffee. I hate coffee, it makes me jittery, my energy drink does the opposite, it calms me. Weird but soothing, and it should NOT do that.
The gut Drs (many for years) were clueless as usual offering only the same generic answers for everyone, which does not fix the real, un-found issue, what ever it may be.
Note: Ive actually done every specific diet, food group or individual elimination diet there is in the last 8 -10 years so far with exception to the Mediterranean diet. Whats in common with all those? My gut.
My digestion It improved five years ago, but never normalized, then went backwards a little. I dont know what a normal gut feels like in my whole life so far of over 5 decades.
I think there should be a new digestive forum online with actual threads- but not a Faceplant version.
Vent in a vent :Young people need to see the difference in threads you can follow someday VS facebook style which gets lost.
Hope forums/threads for everything come back some day.
Even the local sports and outdoor forums I used changed to faceplant- and they are terrible replacements with not much info other than smart a** responses and one liner comments that serve no purpose other than feeding some peoples egos. Facebook is for advertisement, and hello? - thats all its good for.
