Last year around this time, I had persistent throat soreness that only felt okay when I swallowed with something in my throat (like food or water). The rest of the time, it hurt a lot and felt full and tight, and pinched when I swallowed. For months, I was anxious about it - trying everything possible to visualize the area, treat possible reflux, treat possible sinus infection and allergies, find potential tonsil stones, evaluate for various cancers, etc. It was just cricopharyngeal spasms. Once I figured that out, I consciously relaxed my throat for two days, and it vanished. I was relieved! Maybe look into cricopharyngeal spasms and see if that sounds like what you're dealing with.
I'm sorry to hear about the major stressors you are dealing with, and wish you the very best in navigating all of it without the stress settling into your body and dysregulating things. My cat died two days ago, and I acutely understand how hard that is!
