Popular U of M pitching coach returns this season after Lyme disease absence of two years

I’m not much of a team sports fan, but friends and family let me know about the University of Minnesota pitching coach who is coming back for the season. I guess this was also on SportsTalk radio and even in some sports magazines, so it’s Another story that gets the word out about Lyme disease.

The write up below is from 2023, but I googled some more and he’s returning this season. There’s a few videos on him also mentioning that his symptoms are not completely gone.

He was treated by what sounds like an LLMD in Florida. I don’t know who that would be.

Hopefully it shines a light on Lyme disease.
People still don’t really get how debilitating it is!

Typically people listen when things happen to Popular team sports personnel.

This guy is pretty popularly known in the US upper Midwest college baseball circle. He was a minor-league player (Semi pro ) For a few which led him to coaching University baseball.

My brother let me know about his story because he seen him on TV news and his symptoms were quite wide and very similar to the same symptoms I had. Neurological, Insomnia, word slurring, slow reflexes, major fatigue, Anxiety.

Initially they sent him to all the specialist that would treat the above symptoms and finally Someone suspected Lyme disease which causes all of the above.
