confused  Hi All! My name is Michelle and I am 35 years old. I have been experiencing some odd symptoms since the birth of my second child. I had her Nov 07. Right before her delivery, I had a terrible cold. went on some meds and felt better. Now I have this constant pressure over my forehead and the bridge of my nose and mostly on the left side. Its in the left temple I believe. I feel as if it a little numb and tingling sensentation. Sometimes it has a jabbing feel or it just sits there all day, meaning this annoying pain. I get this feeling of having a few drinks. Like I am a little tipsy. Thats how I feel after havin this pressure on me all day. Some days are better than others. I also get bad neck aches and my left shoulder blade get the same feeling of the pins and needles feel. I went to my ENT dr and said it was sinuses... 2 nose sprays later and still feel this way. The spray did help a little for a day or so. So I went to see a Neuro dr and after telling him my symptoms, he goes... You know what this is right?? I said NO. He said Migraines. He also said he wanted to do an MRI just to be sure. Do you think he is not tellingme something in regards to wanting the MRI or just saying lets do it to be sure?? I am so scared guys! So scared because of course I think the absolute worst!! Please help with advice!

I can appreciate that you are feeling scared. There is a big unknown hanging over your head. Try to take comfort in the fact that in most cases, neurologists do MRI's to cover themselves "just in case" much more often than they do them because there is actually something to see in there.

Thank you for your reply. I was thinking that as well as they have to make sure all their bases are covered on their end as well. Well... hopefully all is well and I can relax!

Hi Michelle,

              doctors have to eliminate other diseases that is how they end up with a definite diagnosis. I have in the past 5 years had MRIs, Ct scans, EEgs and just recently a ENG. Of course if I read on it there are some scary options that it could be but I can't stop and worry myself like that. I have a life to live. Que sera,sera! I will deal with whatever it is when they figure it out. Oh, I don't say that I don't think about it but I try to be positive. I have had a lot of the same symptoms as you and they told me it was a form of migraine. 5 years later, they're still not sure what it is. They're running all kinds of tests and hopefully it will lead to a diagnosis and a cure. Not knowing is the worst but please don't drive yourself crazy over this! It's not worth it and it won't amount to nothing worthwhile. Keep us updated on what's happening! Take care!

Thank you for your kind words! I am actually feeling better these past few days! I am not thinking about it and I am just putting this in god's hands!! I think I might be the way I am due to the fact that I lost my mom at the age of 5 to cancer and now that I have 2 babies of my own, I automatically think that my life will follow her path. She passed when I was 5 and she was onl 37. I am 35 and I think that way. All I can do is hope for the best and if something does come back not so good... well, I deal with it then.

Sorry to hear about your mom. That must of been very difficult. Just remember that everyone's life is different. We all follow different paths. Keep up with the positive attitude and have fun with your kids! Enjoy life!

Life is too short to think negatively!! My children bring me such joy! I will let you know next week on the results. Also, I have thyroid nodules too! I am having them biopsied next Tuesday! wish me luck. I have a busy week coming up!

hello sava, as it may not be caused by your sinuses maybe it could be a tmj problem. This is a problem with your jaw joint which causes tension in your massetter muscles and also leading to types of tension headaches and mimic migraine-like type headaches too. i read somewhere that a lot of women that have given birth get tmj problems because while they r in labour they clench their teeth together really hard. I really hope everything is clear with your mri

Timur- Thank you for your reply! I hope you are right and my MRI comes back clean. I am scared, but we need to find out what the problem is. I will keep you posted!!! I am so glad I found this forum!!  yeah

So I got the MRI results and they are normal. I didnt have the contrast cuz I thought I might be pregnant and I am not. Do you think the results are still accurate? He said it was Normal and I had nothing to worry about Tumor wise. Why am I still feeling the way I do? I am dizzy, the headaches arent bad at all. Maybe an inner ear thing going? I was diagnosed with BVVP a few years ago???
