Hi everyone. Iam fairly new to headaches and iam in need of help. about 25 days ago I had an upper left impacted wisdom tooth extracted under IV sedation. While extracting the tooth the surgeon had protruded my sinus cavity. The only problems I had was a slight headache and some clear nasal discharge. At the follow up 7 days later she said everything seemed to be healing fine. She told me to take it easy for a while, but I had to do some physical work that I couldnt get out of. The next day after the hard work I woke up with a pretty bad headache. I went back to my oral surgeon and she said it has nothing to do with the surgery and to see my family doctor. Well 14 days later after blood work, sinus xray and a MRI(did not get the results from the MRI yet) I still have a headache. The pain is kind of scattered, right now its in the bridge of my nose and forehead. Some times its on the top of my head and in the back of my head. It feels tight like a rubberband aroung my head with some considerable pressure. Light dosen't bother me and it dosent feel like its throbbing. Its just pretty constant pain from morning to night. I have been taken the usual over the counter meds, tylenol. ibuprofen with some relief. I was prescribed muscle relaxers, and a variety of pain killers. I dont use the pain killers because I hate taking pills and I took the muscle relaxers a couple of times at night so I dont know if they are helping me. The only thing in my life that has change was the last 4 months i have been taking ibuprofen and tylenol in larger than normal doses due wisdom teeth extractions(feburary i had a lower tooth extracted with no problems) and other over th counter pain meds. Iam 41 years old workout everyday(well i did) eat right etc.. Any advice or help is much apprciated. I appologize if my post is scattered.
Thank you Peter
