They sound like hormonal migraines. I used to get them after sex! Before that, though, I had them for about 10 days before I had my period for about 8 months after I gave birth. They eventually went away ~ the hormonal headaches that is to say. I still have them, PTC pressure headaches and regular migraines that can last for long periods of time. My doc gives me prednisone to break the migraine.
Another thing to keep in mind.... self medicating headaches is BAD. When we use tylenol, ibuprophen, etc., to control our headaches, we can get "rebound" headaches. Getting rid of those is a little trickier and can include hospitalization and an IV drip for about 3 days.
