Hi everyone.
I've never frequented this forum until now. I'm at my wits end. I suffer badly from what are called "Chinook headaches". I live in Calgary, Alberta which is situated about 50 miles east of the Rocky Mountains. Well, when a blast of warm Pacific air moves in and over the mountains, we get these insane barometric increases and decreases that literally send people off the deep end. The migraines and headaches that the change in barometer causes is unbelievable.
Mine have gotten much worse this winter. To the point where I'm having these a couple times a week. My dad suffers from this phenomenon too and this is his worst winter as well. I'm throwing my hands up and waving the white flag! I can't take this anymore. It makes me want to move!
Nothing helps the pain. We just have to let the barometer do its thing. Is there anywhere else in North America (or the world), where this happens? And if so, what do you do to relieve the migraines? Needless to say, I'm dealing with a lot of health issues (check out my signature), and these weather related migraines are just one more thing for me to have to deal with.
Thanks in advance for any input!
Wanting to blow my brains out,
Ginny
