Ele-I think that writing down your pain, experiences etc is a great piece of advice. Sometimes I go blank when I get to the doctor and this way you can pull out your notebook and SHOW them..."on june 3rd you had level 5 pain, on the xyz area of the body etc...you napped for 2 hours, took a pain pill...etc"
I am not sure what the previous poster is alluding to, a little more information would be great. HOWEVER, I think you are starting off in the right place. An endocrinologist would ask if you have been to a neurologist first. (My Mom works for an endocrinologist, I am sure that he would ask for medical history first
anyway, for more info on what they do you can visit http://www.hormone.org/public/endocrinologist.cfm
Please, if you doctor refuses to give you a referral to see specialists...FIND A NEW DOCTOR. I think that is wonderful advice, remember you are paying the doctor and you need to be satisfied that they are doing the best for you.
Keep in touch,
