Stomach Mirgraines

Hi there, I am just wondering if any of you have ever heard of Stomach Migraines before? My 19 year old daughter gets them and they make her so sick and she gets so much pain in her stomach. Our doctor has diagnosed her with this, the same as migraines only in her stomach. I am looking for ways to help her fight them when she gets them, it is usually in the middle of the night, with no stress or anything going on, they hit her out of the blue. I hate it when she gets them, the pain is horrible for her and many times I have had to rush her to emerg in the middle of the night. I would love to know if they are the same as regular migraines or if something you might use to help with regular migraines might help with these.

My little brother has also been diagnosed w/ stomach migraines. It started when he was around 15, he is now 21 and still battling with occasional vomiting, pain and weight loss. This disease makes it difficult for him to function normally in life. He's been to many doctors, he's even seen a specialist in San Fransisco and still has episodes. Does anyone have any helpful advise, or know someone who can help.
