I have suffered from migraines for several years, lately they have taken over my life. I have recently lost my job due to so many "sick days". I have been to doctors and neurologists time and time again with no answers. Recently I have had a new symptom, my fingers on both hands turn inward towards my palms and clamp tightly down. The only way to pry them apart is to have someone else open them for me but with much resistance, unfortunately they turn back in. My usual migraine symptoms are; severe sweating, auras, pounding in my head and frequent passing out and now this new symptom. Does anyone have any advice?? My neurologist will not even speak to me since I lost my job and have no insurance. My relief usually entails a trip to the local ER where they give me a shot of Demerol or Nubain. I know for a fact that they have labeled me a "drug seeker". I am currently taking Topamax, Propanolol, Magnesium, and Vit B-2. I have tried Maxalt, Fiorecet, Excedrin Migraine, Aleve, and Advil Liquid-Gels but no success. To make things worse, I went to the local clinic out of desperation and the physician told me that my hands turning inwards was not related to my migraines and that I needed to seek counseling, she did nothing for my migraine and sent me out the door. So many people out there do not understand the pain and suffering that migraines cause. Any advice, suggestions, or home remedies would greatly be appreciated!!
