hermicrania continua!

Hi i am new to this forum! glad i found it! my story... I started with a cluster headache cycle back at christmas. i got it under control by february but had constant uncomfortable low grade headache on the right side of my head (cluster side) for months after. When i found a new headache specialist here in south florida the end of april he diagnosed me with "hermicrania continua" which is chronic migraine/cluster mix! my neck is affected with these headaches and have been on indomthicin 150mg's for the headaches helps some. I have gotten ocipital nerve block injections twice so far and it helps alot! anyone here have similar condition? I hope all is well and glad i found this site

Hi Anthony,i also have Hemicrania Continua at present it is very agressive and over the last 3 months have had 2 x GNOB which have failed to have much affect but am really glad you found some relief.At the beginning of October i will see a consultant who will then review treatments.He mentioned a three point nerve injection every three months and various drugs,as the topiramate has failed(am currently being weaned off,THANK GOD!!!!!) and 75mg x3 dailiy of Indomtacin,which does subdue pain for a short while but alas not effective enough!
