  I have chronic daily migraines. Some days worse then others. Do any of you take fioricet and does it work for you?  I've read good and bad things about this drug. I have a Rx for fioricet and take it about 3 times a week. I try not to take it everyday, I don't want to become addicited to it and have rebound headaches. I have been on every migraine med my neurologist knows to put me on. He says I have intractable migraines, hard to treat.  I don't live near a headache clinic, but looks like I might have to travel to one. I have this pain everyday, and it really effects your life.  So many times I've had to tell my family I can't do something or go somewhere because I have a migraine and that makes me feel really bad.  I'm up early this morning with the start of a migraine.  My little girl wants to go to the pool cool oday, it's suppose to be 96 degrees and I know the result of this day, Major Migraine!  Just sitting out in the bright sunshine and heat kills me.  I will probably endure the pain just to see the smile on her face, even though I know I it will not help my migraine.  Guess that's the Super Mom coming out in me, LOL.

Hey Mercyme, how are you feeling today? I hope you are having a low pain day! I took fioricet for awhile and it worked well. The only problem was, I developed a tolerance to it pretty fast so it didn't work for long. I did try and not take it too often because I know my body builds tolerances to meds so fast, but it still happened. I hope that it works for you and for longer. Head pain is horrible! Take care.

Yes head pain is horrible. I suffer daily as well but they are not migraines. My pain is in my temples and it has affeced my life as well. I am just in the process of trying to accept that this is how my life will be, with chronic pain. i have tried many forms of tx. tried many meds and seen many doctors with all tests being negative. I have also had work up done for tmj. And yet after ten years there is not one bit of change in my pain.

I wish you much luck in finding a solution.

I was on Fioricet for a while and did like it but I ended up taking it about 3-4 times a week and 1-2 pills at a time during those days. My neurologist said that it can cause big rebound headaches and with already getting 3-4 migraines a week, I did not want to get anymore headaches so I stopped it. She suggested that I take naproxen with my abortive. I have been doing that and I think it works but I have bad headaches so I really can't say. I too suck it up and go to the pool when my son wants to. I have to work everyday and run my office so I have to be there and be making decisions so it's hard to take time off, so I have to just deal with as much pain as I can.

Oh AK-Kel, I can't imagine working everyday with a migraine. I have them most days, but I have good days and bad. I am seeing a few neurologist from the Universtiy of Va Medical Center on Aug 5th. These are the same neurologist and neurosurgeons that I had when I had my epilepsy brain surgery. I am soooo hoping they can help me find some relief for these chronic migraines.

If you ask my suggestion, I would like to say to do more exercise every day. I have migraines when I am sixteen years old and I want to get rid of it. So I took a cool water bath every day even when It was snowing outside for almost three years. The migraines were gone and I even didnot get a cold for more than ten years.
