Hi everyone! Happy Turkey Day :)! I'm so happy I found this group! I could really use some help from others in the same boat.  I'm a 29 F and have been fighting headaches/migraines for a while now. The past 2-3 years they got worse.   The past 3 days have just been h***!!  I have had this horrible migraine and nothing helps. I tried Tylenol and Advil...nothing. I was in so much pain last night. Today I didn’t take anything in fear of "rebound headaches". I'm not sure what to do anymore and starting to get freaked out. Has anyone gone through this before? I can't take the throbbing pain in my temples much longer....     I currently take 75mg for dopeamax, I mean topamax.  I started taking the other 25mg today (Was higher before but I think I was getting dry eyes from it). I'm also on Effexor, and Seroquel for anxiety.   Thank you for reading. I appreciate it

Call your neuro; what do you have for abortives? I may be interpreting this incorrectly, but you're taking topomax as a preventative and you have nothing for abortives? This helps some people; a cool washcloth on the back of the neck....I mean, dampen the washcloth, put it in the freezer for several minutes, then on the neck..but definitely call your doctor.

Your right. I take Topamax and have no abortives. I was taking Fioricet as needed, that was from my family dr. But the Neuro said not to take them, since they were probably causing rebound headaches.....

I started going to the Neuro because I was taking the Fioricet more often. I knew that wasn't right. I heard of rebound headaches, and didn't want that to happen with me.

On a better note, since I wrote this I started taking the extra 25mg (75mg per day what I should have been at) and seems to be helping. The migraine finally broke yesterday, and today I feel good. Thank you for the washcloth tip!!! I will def. keep that in mind!!!!
