about three weeks ago I started getting these strange headaches. There werent the typical pounding pain I have experienced in the past. There were more like a tingling, pressure sensation. I would also have what felt like these strange bursts of cool liquid going through my head. I tried to ignore the feelings for a couple weeks, but then last Wednesday they got so bad I went to the ER. The headaches were very intense, and I felt extremely disoriented and dizzy. It felt like I couldn't focus on anything. Almost like an out of body experience. I also was have a strange weak sensation in my left hand. Like my muscle control wasn't as precise and it normally is. At the ER I got a CatScan and was told everything looked fine except for it appeared I had a sinus infection. I was relieved that was all it was. I was given a Z-Pac of antibiotics and told to take them for five days. My symptoms only got worse. The headaches and diziness were extremely painful. I went back to my primary care doctor and she prescribed me a stronger antibiotic and also told me my symptoms sounded like anxiety. I went to see a psyciatrist and he gave me Xanax. This is the only thing that has worked for me. I was taking 9 motrin a day without any pain relief. The Xanax makes me feel really loopy, and only lasts for about an hour but it makes the headaches go away. The only problem is I don't feel anxious at all. I know what a panic attack feels like, and I don't feel panicked in the slightest. I'm still confused to what is going on with me. Has anyone else ever experienced something similar? I obviously cant live off the Xanax, and it only makes me feel better for a short amount of time. Maybe these are migraines? I really have no clue. Please, anyone out there let me know what you think. I'm feeling desperater. And by the way I'm a 23 year old, healthy, not overweight female.
