Hi, my name is Stac/Catz4 and I am usually on Chronic Pain. Due to a recent MRI, I have come to learn something I want to ask all of you about . My neurosurgeon sent me in to have a MRI on my neck (due to Syringomyelia) and on my brain because I have rapidly lost the ability to walk heel to toe or touch my nose with my fingers with my eyes closed. In fact to try and lighten the mood a bit, my doc says, "Well, if I were a Police Officer, you'd be going to jail!" We laughed and that was before the MRI's. My syrinx is stable, but for some reason I have begun to be enveloped by legions all over my brain. My doctor is, as I stated, a neurosurgeon and he is sending me to a neuropsychologist to find out how much damage my brain has. It's things like not being able to place words or remember any kind of appointments etc. As he consulted with another doctor, they believe it is associated with long term migraines.
The headaches I get with these is nothing like a migraine, but may easily spawn a migraine. This feels like "brain freeze" which is what my kids call it! It's like I drank something really cold, really fast. Then it will last anywhere from 5 minutes to 30 minutes. It is intense and stops me in my tracks. The headaches have stopped me from driving! It's also stopped me from other things I enjoy.
If any of you have had something simular, please give me some imformation on this. I'm really scared.
Thanks so much!,
Stac/Catz4
