Patty~
I have several migraines a month, so his two or more per month are not anything out of the ordinary for someone suffering with migraines. If your husband is having more than two per month he needs to see his doctor for a preventative medication (to keep from having as many and/or more severe migraines)
Patty, the best suggestion I can make is to get yourself a book about migraines or do some research online...that way you will have a better understanding of what is happening to your husband and what you can do to help him cope with them.
Some of my best suggestions for loved ones is to (during a migraine) be as quiet as possible, offer things like heating pad or ice, offer to do things that the person with a migraine should be doing, make sure your migraineur has something to eat and is in a cool, quiet, dark room...I find personally that I want people to offer to get or do things for me, and then let me be alone so I can try to sleep through the pain.
Patty...please feel free to ask us questions or give us updates. If you need specific info, let me know...I will be glad to share.
