Hi there, Smooshed.
From all that you have said, it would appear that you have what may feel like the same migraine ongoing, when in fact, like myself, the number of Back-to-Back migraines just tends to feel like one big long continual pain lasting seemably forever. I do not recognize any of the drugs you mention and as to what is in the IV I also have no knowledge. However, coming from a 61-year-young woman who has been afflicted with Chronic Migraine Disease (the variety pack) since the age of 12 (over 49 years now), and realizing that although over 90% of the pain medications ever developed tend to be acetaminophen-based (which does not work on my system), it was the old Frosst 222's (acetylsalicylic acid and caffeine and codeine) that took the edge off of the pain back then, for the mild and moderate ones, and the Frosst 282's (with double the codeine) that worked for the severe ones. No other product was ever used by me and to date, to deal with CMD, which includes daily vertigo, nausea, disorientation, and a number of variables, I have a 145-pound female black Newfoundland dog who is my Assistance/Guide/Service dog and 24/7 companion. She senses the migraines that do NOT give me any warning and hugs my legs to warn me. When the Ocular Migraines his with the intense pain and vision blackout, she senses the attack and goes into "auto-pilot" to pull me to safety. BUBBLES is my Guardian Angel - my saving grace through CMD, OMS, DDD, MG and cataracts. She is my balance, my vision, my focus, and my mentor.
