hi, sry for your pain, i too have horrible migraine/ tension headaches and just everyday annoying headaches. It took many yrs to be diagnosed with myfascial pain syndrome, and i also have been on soma, lorocets, and methodone, what the problem with pain meds is that yer body becomes used to them, and they seem to stop having the same result. I take cymbalta also for my fibro, and klonepin. They need to try to prevent your headaches before they start by trying antideppressants, triptilyns, and etc. My Pain management doctor just put me on feurocet, it is used to help prevent the headaches. I also take maxalt, and giv myself imitrex injections once i get a severe migraine, which are usually started by tension or stress, thats where the klonepin comes in, its similar to valum, but does relax muscles. I got addicted to soma, it was the only med that ever gave me a boost of energy when taken with lorecet. so i'm glad i'm not on it anymore. I have Chronic fatigue syndrome, and i'm sick alot, and have no energy, but i get triggerpoint injections for my myofascial pain syndrome, they r very helpful, and u just get used to the needles, i don't even flinch, i'm so used to them. unfortunatly i'm not on anything for pain, only injections. my doc says becuz my pain is chronic and I'll never get better he will not prescribe narcotics. he has tried morphine, didn't work, and methadone didn't do anything at all. i would suggest getting off of the meth. I would just seek different opinions, and dif docs.
wish u the best
Danielle
