This is my first post here, stumbled on this site by googling headache info.
As mentioned i have had a headache for 6 nights. Medicine seems to only offer temporary, partial relief. its always behind my left eye. I have been taking medication for these 6 nights, but before that not unless i had pain.
excedrin migrane ususally does it for me so i tried that the first day, although it ususally has me on the toilet, it was worth it for my head pains. i can easily treat that part with immodium. so the head pain wins.
this offered relief for maybe a day... then the pain, to almost hte same extent came back. this time i tried tylenol 1... again, felt better, temporarily. tried this again for a few nights (maybe 4 altogether).
tonight im just trying advil PM.
the kicker is that i used to take allergy meds with tylenol in them... not every single day but, often. switched to allegra figuring that not taking tylenol unless i needed it would make itwork better. (how wrong i feel right now!!!).
but, the kicker is that it has been raining here (of course off and on, not continuous) for about 6 days. and i do often get headaches/migranes telling me about the weather.
SO, is this a rebound headache, a long lasting migrane, recurrent weather triggers. all three??
it just scares the crap out of me because my aunt has had a headache (varies from dull to migrane and throwing up) for 25 years..... YEARS!! i am so beyond terrified to end up in those footsteps.
i also have CFS and these headaches are knocking me right on my arse energywise (as is the weather, none of it helps).
so my questions are what can i do abotu weather headaches? What can i do when my migrane medicine didnt work? What can i do being that i do have to go into work the little bit i can work, and cant just stay home and be in pain all day long? i dont want to call in too many times.......
ugh.
