My girlfriend woke up at 5am this morning and couldnt feel her hands or use them at all...after about
2 mins she couldnt speak...any time she tried to tell me something it came out as a moan...2 mins after that she couldnt talk at all and she doesnt remember what happened after trying to tell me she couldnt talk until she came 2 at the hospital...she started drooling at the same time that she couldnt talk at all...the doctor is unsure of what could cause this and mentioned that it could be seizures, migraines or some other kind of neurological problem...shes never had a seizure before or a migraine but her little sister started getting migraines this year and there isnt any family history of neurological disorders...she used to be depressed and has attempted suicide once...on tuesday of this week she couldnt feel or use her right arm but that went away like she just slept wrong and she just felt like crap the rest of the day after throwing up twice...and yesterday, friday, she woke up and couldnt feel or use her entire right side and i didnt know anything about
it until she was up and moving around again like nothing had been wrong so i assumed maybe we needed a new bed but after today im thinking it could be more severe...shes 19 and the doctors have run tests for everything that this could be except neurological disorders b/c they dont have the equipment to do any of that...and by 7am today she was back to being coherent but couldnt form a full sentence....by 9 she was able to do everything like nothing had happened...please help and if you cant thanks for reading anyways...

back in march 2009,i collapsed in my local chemist buying headache tablets, my right side went numb, it was as if i had a stroke, i got to hospital, i couldn't speak or move my right side, then after a few hours if come back to life, after a mri. lumper punchers they found out i have viral meningitis, which turned in to a 2nd infection Encephalitis,,i was very ill and in hospital for mths. i hope shes ok, and they find out what cause this. hugs x

it was the scariest moment in my life...they didnt do a spinal tap and she is out of the hospital and back to normal and yet theyre still not sure what was wrong...they checked her blood and there was no signs of infections b/c her white cell count and red cell count were normal...theyre doing an mri at 2 today and we are supposed to meet with a neurologist in the next couple of weeks...like i said they think it could be either seizures, an a-typical migraine, or some other type of neurological problem but thanks for the input ill bring that up at the appointment and see what they say

That has to very scary! I have chronic daily migraines and have a long history of having seizures. Seizures are so scary and you don't remember a thing during the seizure usually. When I would come to my senses after having a seizure I would feel so drained. I was able to function normally after the seizure most of the time. I had complex paritial seizures for over 25 years, up until I had brain surgery. I hope they find out why this happened and I pray it doesn't happen again!
