smhair hi im new. I am a 27 yr old female last 4 months have beem bothered with itching burning and pain in right eye, but for the last month feels like being stabed in eye with icepick the pain shoots from back of eye to the front then i get a server migrain that last for days. Today is day 4. Dont know what to do or what to take nothing touches it. Need advice please

So sorry your suffering with migraines too. I don't have a lot to offer other than I understand dealing with migraines. I deal with intractable chronic migraines. Nothing I have taken has helped me, but there are so many medications out there that do help a lot of people who deal with migraines. Have you seen a neurologist and been given a diagnosis of migraines? Right now I take fioricet, zanaflex, and toradol, but these drugs aren't helping. I see my neurologist March 14th and guess I will see what next. Hope you get some relief soon. We are suppose to have a thunderstorm tomorrow and I'm already feeling it! Weather is a trigger for me. Hope you get some relief from your migraines soon!

Agree with mercyme.. definitely recommend that you find a neurologist to accurately diagnose you.. I also would recommend finding a neuro who is certified in headaches. I've attached a link of headache specialists in the U.S.

mercyme: Have you tried beta-blockers? Anti-convulsants? Calcium Channel Blockers? Anti-depressants like Elavil or Pamelor. These meds are not so much prescribed for depression anymore but instead, pain. Other drugs that have showed promise are: namenda, savella, flunarizine (available in Canada). Lamictal is both a mood disorder drug but also an anti-convulsant and has helped people with pain. I notice you are taking fioricet. Is this for every day use as a preventative or as abortive. Taking to many pain-killers like acetaminephin (like fiorcet) can cause re-bounding headaches).

If you are into supplements: magnesium malate, co-enzyme Q and B2 (riboflavin) has shown to help some people with chronic head pain.
