Hello all,
I have just joined this forum with hope of some advice from some of you. I am 28 years of age, female and all of a sudden last july I started getting really bad headaches, numbness and pins and needles. I went to bed one night and felt a pinging sensation in my head followed by numbness and pins and needles in my face. This carried on for 40 mins and ever since then daily I have had these sensations - I should also add that now I have some in my arms and also in my back. I have been on countless meds that havent worked (or have for about a week and the headaches have came back again) been to the docs more times in the last 10 months than I have in my life. I had a CT scan in Decemeber after me begging for them to check my head because I was worried they were doing enough because my blood pressure was always fine. It turns out that that was all fine apart from calcium deposists in my brain - Which they said was nothing to worry about and wasnt causing my headaches?? I was then referred to a neurologist who procedeed to tell me that the reason I have all this is because I have been taking pain killers! and has booked me back in for 3 months to catch up. I am at my wits end, its ruining my life cause I have to power through work and try to have a social life with all this going on and all I want to do is curl up and close myself away. I am currently on new meds, proponanal, novamig and something else that I cant remember just now.
Sorry for the long post but can anyone relate to what I am going through or recommend what I should do next?
Thanks for reading. L
