My head goes numb?

So my newest and probably weirdest symptom yet is my head will totally go numb! What in the world is that all about? I can't really move very coherently and it makes seeing straight pretty hard when it happens. Most of the time it happens when I'm laying down (and don't worry I make sure I'm not cutting off circulation) but it'll also happen at pretty random times. I get limb numbness and tingling a lot of the time, but it happening in my head is new. I've heard it could be from prolonged B12 deficiency, but I'm not convinced. Anyone else ever had this problem? Any ideas why? Thanks.

I've had this happen quite frequently over several years. I just wanted to let you know when I went to my dr with this the first thing she did was order blood test to check for vitamin deficiency. My b12 was so low i had to do a month of daily injections and now am on them for life once a week. My vit d level was also extremely low and i take supplement for that also. When i started the shots the numbness did get better for awhile but eventually started to come back due to other health issues. I just wanted to let you know numbness can be caused from vitamin deficiency but can also be an indicator of several other issues. Please talk with your dr so you can find out for sure what is causing this.

Thank you for this! I'm definitely planning on having my vitamin levels checked again. I already get weekly B12 shots, but maybe that's not enough? And I guess I never considered the fact that it could be other vitamins too. But I'll make sure to really talk to my doc about this and possibly having other things that could be causing this. Again, thanks for your help!

i think i may have this or something similar. I had a really bad migraine attack at hospital a few weeks back where my whole left side of my body went numb even my left side of my head and brain. now i seem to get a weird sensation in my head like it could go all stiff and numb but it never actually does but its scary to even feel like it and whether i will get another bad attack. I will def be asking my doc to do some vitamin checks to make sure im not lacking in anything. I have just been diagnosed with migraine with vesitibular dysfunction so dealing with a lot of horrible symptoms at the moment its like my migraine needs to be dealt with and under control before the vestibular part can be dealt with i get very dizzy off balance and a feeling of been pulled to my left side most of the time x

The left side of my head feels numb too when I have a bad migraine. Does your hands ever shake, kinda of tremor?
Have a bad migraine on the beautiful Sunday. :( Have been having this crazy funny sick feeling in my stomach too. UGH!
