I am in a process of making a sticky post for this section of the forum. If Admin and mods permit, I will post it very soon. Some of the things, I will mention below, you will find in the sticky (If it takes long for approval, I will post it here for your convenience).
First and foremost, if you have headache for 10 years, have you maintained a headache diary? If not, you should start making one. Record as much tiny details as possible, more the better, easier for your neuro/headache specialist to figure out your problems.
Keep a perfect record of all medications you take along with the dosage, start and stop date, and the indication for which these medications were prescribed.
Same goes for OTC medications like Tylenol, Advil etc.
Keep a record of allergies, of medications, foods etc.
For all females, my strong suggestion is to keep records of their menstrual cycles, along with the bleeding types. Migraine is more in women than men and thought to have a correlation with Estrogen levels.
When you start maintaining a diary, you will be able to figure out if there is any trigger like food, weather, mental stress etc. It is VERY important that everyone with headache/migraine tries to find out their trigger. Sometimes, it can be as simple as coffee or red wine to totally failing to find a trigger (like me). This will not solve your problem right away but I became little wise after 5 years of voracious reading on headaches and my migraine is little under control.
To get back to your story, you should talk to your PCP about your headaches first. If s/he agrees, then you should give a try to OTC medications like Tylenol, Advil, Alleve or other OTC brands specifically for migraine. NEVER EVER exceed the recommended dosage, not even if you feel like you can't stand the pain. More people die eyery year because of OTC pain medications than anything else. If these guys help, make a note of it and how long the effect lasts. If you don't get complete relief, do you need to take one more dose after 6 hours (happens with me sometimes to get total relief), make a note of that too. If after 2 doses, it doesn't help, STOP, don't take any more and record the level of pain on scale of 1-10 (ALWAYS record pain on this scale).
If these OTC guys do not help, you should have generated enough data (at least 3 months) to see a neuro and get some sensible prescriptions. These usually take months to figure out the dose of your need so you need to be patient. It took almost 9 months to stabilize my Verapamil dose.
From you pain locations, it sounds to me like trigeminal nerve thats firing like crazy. This is the nerve that feeds into the area you mention (but it could be something else too).
To the questions you ask,
Yes, even allergy can drive you nuts with headache. DW's nasal cartilage is weird. She has also undergone surgery for that but inspite of the trouble, pollen period and this time of the year, she goes crazy with headache. (Actually, at this very moment, she is lying in the bed with headache and allergic sinusitis).
I can not offer any more exact help at the moment as I am not your doc. Ponder over these points and discuss with your doc. DO NOT take any medication without medical supervision. There are really a TONS of meds you could give a try to and there is a strong possibility that at least one will give you a relief if you are disciplied.
Finally, I don't want to be rude but nobody will help you if you don't help yourself. Read up some stuff on Migraine/headache. Internet is loaded with useful and useless information. Sometimes it is just too difficult to figure out what is true and what is plain BS. If you are just a beginner, I STRONGLY recommend you to read a book by Teri Robert - Living Well with Migraine Disease and Headaches: What Your Doctor Doesn't Tell You...That You Need to Know. There are literally tons of books on headaches but I found this book is a good primer. Frankly, there is absolutely nothing in this book that the doctor doesn't tell you. A good doc will tell you almost everything but not in these details due to the lack of time. The copy I read is from 2005 so its little dated. She might have added some new stuff.
I will keep adding stuff when the sticky is made but you could get going with the material above. Post your questions and I will try to answer them as much as I can.
Good Luck, don't despair. Hope is just round the corner.
