Hi everyone. I haven't posted in a while because it had been almost 4 months since I had a migraine. I made a lot of changes to my life, including eliminating all MSG (as well as artificial sweeteners like aspartame), drinking A LOT of water, regulating my caffeine intake, just eating healthier in general, etc. Also my Elavil was increased from 10mg to 30mg and it seemed to be helping. I felt a lot better overall. Lately (I would say in the last month), I've been very stressed about my new job (I work in a call centre, eek), and I've been feeling a little panicky because I kept feeling like a migraine was around the corner.
Since starting my new job, since I work night shift, I've been sleeping in everyday. I've never been a morning person so I was glad I got to work evenings. Anyways, I have definitely been oversleeping. A lot. I would say I normally get to sleep around 2am and wake up around 12pm or 1pm, which is 10-11 hrs of sleep. I didn't think it was a problem, I only though UNDERsleeping could cause migraines. But this morning I woke up with a bad migraine for the first time in months. My doctor told me once that when you wake up with one, it usually has to do with sleeping patterns. Can oversleeping cause migraines? Have any of you ever experienced this?
Also, I know the stress of the new job was not helping me either. I've also been eating meals late at night, like around midnight, and I was wondering if that was possibly a contributing fact to the migraines as well.
I would love to hear some feedback from you lovely people. Thanks for reading <3
