I have had headaches about four times a week for over a year now. They are usually just the back, right side of my head, typically centered just above my ear, then also extending across the back of my neck. Usually they end with an over the counter pain killer, but sometimes they just won't go away (about twice a month). I also get auras at times.
I have seen multiple doctors about them with no luck. They have told me it is sinus issues, muscular problems, posture, TMJ, and stress. I had an MRI and nothing out of the ordinary was fond. My doctor concluded that he has no idea what is causing them. He doesn't think they are migraines. The most he thinks is that they are more muscular in nature since they involve my neck. I do tend to clench my jaw and squint quite a lot. However, I've tried everything though to relax and stop the tension.
I don't know what the next steps should be. I am so tired of finding new doctors and getting bills that don't lead me anywhere. Deep down I think there's got to be something more going on than just my muscles. Am I crazy? Should I just listen to my doctor? Anyone else have similar headaches?
