There is a principle known as Occam's Razor, simply put it is that the simplest answer is most often correct. Although one cannot capriciously apply this to any type of physical symptom, and discussing concerns with a doctor is the best thing to do, I just wanted to show you what's up there besides the brain.

There are many things in the area you mention. Nerves, muscles, connective tissues, etc. Please don't assume the worst simply because you have pain in that area. If you're concerned, if symptoms worsen, or new symptoms arise, please consult with a doctor.
