Rebounderforever, So Glad to here it. Just shows we know our bodies better than the Dr.s I want to change my water also. How did you get fluoride and chlorine out?
I use a dechlorinating shower head - warm water and limit time in there because of the chemicals.
For drinking water, I found a counter top filter by seychelles, then into a brita, then into a barrier. I once considered a berkey, but found the seychelle
(the regular filter removes up to 99.99% of chlorine, chemicals (VOCs), heavy metals and Radon 222. Removes up to 90% of fluoride. Since it is more
open in porosity, it does not remove giardia, cryptosporidium or E-Coli. It is designed to be used as a drinking water filter for use with chlorinated municipal water and as a bottled water replacement..) already had the brita and those are good for some types of bacteria and spores (The Brita® Pitcher Filter Systems and the Brita® Faucet Filter are both excellent water filtration products offering different filtering techniques. The best product is the one that most meets your individual needs. Both products reduce the contaminants that most commonly concern consumers — lead and chlorine (taste and odor) — and both products deliver great-tasting Brita® water. The Brita® Pitcher Systems also reduce copper and mercury — which the Brita® Faucet Filter can't do. But unlike the pitcher, the Faucet Filter removes the microbes, Cryptosporidium and Giardia, and reduces the chemicals Atrazine, Lindane, Benzene, Trichloroethylene and Asbestos.)
And the Barrier: BpA-Free
• Nested cartridge screws in to prevent falling out while pouring.
• Unique Silver Impregnated Carbon Technology reduces bacteria growth within filter cartridge.
• Nano Plus® absorbing surface increases effectiveness of contaminant filtration.
• Removes chlorine, cadmium, mercury, petroleum products, lead, iron and pesticides.
I did send a sample of the finished water to an independent testing lab and the results were great. I am happy with this little trio. May be overkill, but I just don't like taking chances with my health.
If I had the finances I would drink volvic for it's aluminum detoxing ability *from what I have read.
