2-3 week headache

Hello I'm trying to get some help for my wife who has battled migraines all her life. She currently has hypothyroidism . her issue is for the pasr 2 weeks or so maybe moreshe has had a terrible headache at the top back of her head. The strange thing is when she touches the top ofher head her left eye will close. If she stays seated straight then it doesn't bother her but if she lays down or leans back the headache starts to hurt again. She currently doesn'thave any iinsurance because its justtoo darn expensive and this new healthcare law ddidn't really help when it coats $500+ per month for her .

Normally her migraine are behind her eyes or she gets ice pick headaches . this 2 week headache is something new . any help would be greatly appreciated

they cannot refuse to treat most health networks have indigent care programs

the er also has to treat lie a lil bit so they will have to scan here head

mri found my problem

dont delay glands blood clots lots of stuff and some may be emergency to catch or else

i learned early on anything any trick any lie to get the help we deserve

i can also teach anyone about contacting the gov your local reps senators and i recently contacted a congress woman

we have to fight harder than we should for everything we need

i have so many bill collectors on my butt but in disability they cant touch me

low income worst they take you to court and you say your honer im whatever that word is

and if she cant work get her on disability it dont cost to get on it just allot of work and denials i was denied 3 before i got on me and my aunt did it some prefer or need lawyers there are lawyers specially for disability who dont charge they take there fee out of your back pay(back pay is the gov pays for the years it took from application day to the day you get it)

Hi Joeynox,

Please ask your wife's doctor to check her iron and ferritin levels. I've had horrible migraines for a very long time. Mine seemed to be related to iron deficiency. My ferritin levels were extremely low (6.2 when the normal is 40 to 50!) which can also mess up with with thyroid function. My TSH level, which was 3.17 mu/L, also went slightly down. The doctors don't consider me someone with hypothyroidism, but with a tendency to develop it later.
My migraines have disappeared. It's been 6 weeks only, but I'd have a migraine every two weeks at least.

I know it's scary to go to the ER without insurance, but they can't refuse to treat. I'd head to the ER just because it's something so different than she's had before.

I occasionally get a different sort of migraine that is much worse when I lay down than when I sit up, it moves around with my movement (if I'm laying on my right side it will be on the right, but if I roll over the headache moves with me). I don't know what causes that particular type of headache, but I've never had anything where I touch the top of my head and it makes my eyes close, or where that type of headache has lasted that long. I've wondered if that type of headache might be blood pressure related, or some other type of pressure thing since it feels better if I sit up.

The ice pick headaches - has she been diagnosed with cluster headaches?
