Sorry for the late reply.
I went on holiday shortly after I posted and I didn't get one for the entire time I was there (2 weeks), but got one 2 days after I came back. I didn't get another one for 2 weeks but now they are definitely back :(
I had 3 within the space of 24 hours the other day, with the third one being the worst. I usually feel nauseated but I had horrible vertigo and had to glue my face to the toilet.
I managed to see another doctor and had an in depth conversation about
what to try next, but he just put me on 10mg of amitriptyline to be taken at night.
I have read up on it and the dose is low, it's just I'm not keen on taking it because of the negative side effects. I'm not depressed either, and I'm scared my sex drive will go. (I have been on anti depressants before and they made me feel worse)
That being said I don't feel any different than I normally do so far but it is early days.
I think I've come to the conclusion that I'm more prone to migraines around my period, and stress makes it worse. And because I stress about
it, it's a never ending vicious cycle.
I will try the b vitamins and magnesium, I'll also make an effort to go to the gym after work and these pills make me sleepy anyway so more sleep won't be a problem!
Thank you for taking time to read my wall of rant, reading stuff on this forum has given me some help and I think I might actually get on top of my migraines one day lol.
Edit: My doctor mentioned that there seems to be a link between heart murmurs and migraines. I don't know if that will help anyone.
