I have never responded to a question on a chat forum before, but imagined you must have been very concerned when you received the MRI results for your 15 yr. old! I have had severe migraines for many years. Five years ago I was told I had several areas of white "spots" in my brain. Of course, things like MS, stroke or some sort of dementia jumped to my mind! YIKES! I was 45 at the time! I had a total work-up for MS and any other kind of rare disease that might cause the problem. Everything was negative. I requested two more MRI's since then and both have been the same. My brain is as "normal" as it ever was! (Now I have nothing to blame my forgetfulness on
) And so, like the rest of the human race, it's "one day at a time."
Although you are wise to check it out, those scarey "spots" may well amount to nothing worrisome. I hope everything goes okay.
Also, I have had a drastic decrease in headaches since switching to Topomax.
Good Luck!
