Hey everyone,
Well the cold and flu season is here and I can attest to it first hand. It's only the first week of November and I am already midway through my second cold.
I don't seem to have any fighting power this year. I caught my first cold at the beginning of October and am now a week into the second one. I begged my doctor for a flu shot today but he said it would just make it worse.
Unfortunately my stuffed up sinuses have only made my headaches worse and I've had a headache since the beginning of October. I started a new job in June and am a little worried about missing work.
I had an interesting discussion with my doctor today. He said that with the new strains of the flu and the avian flu it is important for us to stay home when we're sick and to protect ourselves from catching colds and the flu as well as getting vaccinated. I was out of work for several months on disability so I guess I don't the immunity I have had in the past.
I am frustrated and when I am feeling better am going to do my best to get as healthy as possible to avoid catching anymore flus or colds this season.
