I'm with you imorgan. I have been getting almost daily migraines for three years. I live near Detroit. Big triggers are cold fronts, high winds, rain, storms, clouds. guess what? We have that almost every other day here. I feel the weather a day or two before it hits, so even if we have a bright, sunny day, something worse is always around the corner, meaning I rarely have a pain-free day.
Anyway, just got back from a Caribbean cruise out of Miami and enjoyed eight glorious migraine-free days. Not a twinge, not a pinch, nothing. Even with a bad thunderstorm and downpour the day we left. We have gone on a cruise out of Miami every March since my migraines became chronic, and this is the third straight year I have not had a migraine while on vacation!
So, what's the difference? Why do even the storms not bother me there? That is the million dollar question, and I'd love it if I could find the answer. And, yes, if the newest migraine plan I'm trying doesn't work, I will have no choice but to seriously consider moving.
