What brands do you find trustworthy? So far I have found Field Day, Three Twins ice cream, RyVita, Silver Hills bread, Frito-Lay Simply line of chips, and Pirates Booty to be preservative free. I travel far to an organic store to buy some of this stuff and thinking of ordering online now. I have thoroughly searched all the local grocery stores and have gotten lucky like Pirates Booty and Frito-Lay Simply.
A little background:
I use to get regular headaches, vertigo, tingling in finger tips, numbness on one side of body often on right side, muscle cramps on one side of body, hot or cold on one side of the body, pin pricks on one side of the body, fatigue, and confusion. Visual auras, blurred vision for days, and phantom sounds were pretty rare. By chance, I came across a forum post about a lady who said she had the same symptoms from sodium phosphate which causes hypocalcemia. It took some trial and error, but once I removed sodium phosphate from my diet, my symptoms disappeared. I remember feeling so odd from thinking clearly and realized it was because I had been having a daily headache and was so use to it.
My diet consisted mostly of fresh fruits and veggies, eggs, milk, and sandwiches (all preservative and hormone free). Now I am pregnant even with medicine prescribed by my OB, I get immense nausea from fruits and veggies (which was the major portion of my diet pre-pregnancy). I'm forced to get processed foods like pretzels, toast, and crackers. I have discovered that a lot of these products (including organic) must not label all of the ingredients because I get the above symptoms again. It is also possible that sodium phosphate is used to make other foods in the same factory.
My other food triggers:
sugar substitutes (including stevia)
nitrates
sulfites
artificial fruit flavorings
strawberries
kiwi
meat and dairy with added hormones
aged foods (can have sparingly)
monocalcium phosphate
caramel
MSG
