Hi everyone!
I just wanted to know if anyone had heard that migraines can come from Ciliac disease, (an alergy to gluton)? My mom has Ciliac disease, but I don't. However, I am a diabetic, and glutons and carbs raise my bloodsugar, so maybe they just affect me differently? I saw my new Neuro, and he switched my treatment to injections of Imitrex. I am afraid to try this, and its not because of the needle, (I take insulin everyday)I'm just afraid of how it will react. The Relpax really doesn't work for me, it just calms my stomach, but nothing for the headache, so I really do need something different. Have any of you had success with Imitrex injections?
Also, what are your thoughts on hormones? I have been trying to get pregnant for years, and now that I'm taking fertility drugs, I haven't had a migraine in 2 months!!!! I have PCOS, and my period is sporatic to say the least, and without drugs I would only get it maybe twice a year. Any thoughts would be helpful.
I wish you all a migraine free day to be happy... ~Shannon
