Anyone heard of MIGRAINE STROKE?

I took a friend home from the hospital today who had been told she had a migraine stroke. She can't talk normally and walked today for the first time in about a week. Apparently seizures she was having cut off the oxygen to her brain and caused the stroke, but what was interesting and scary to me was the fact that before the stroke she had so many of the symptoms that I've been having with my occipital neuralgia! She felt like her head was being blown up like a balloon, she had a constant headache, she couldn't lie down - now I'm wondering if I'm a candidate for a stroke because of this. Anyone know?

Its a good idea for people to look into this further with their doctor's. I found out in the past year from my neurologist, who is also a migraine sufferer also, that Migraines pre-dispose you to stroke...or your chances are greater for stroke. Her sister had one. I don't know if there is a difference between a "migraine Stroke" and a regular stroke. So apparently anyone with migraines, or sever migraines has a greater chance. If you notice an increase or a change in your migraines you should look into it immediately. That's proabably why they are so willing to perscribe such potent medication so quickly and advise you to take it immediately.
