Hello everyone-
I am new here. I have a history of health problems, namely Fibro, anxiety/panic disorder, & neck problems. I have chronic sinusitis and allergies. I get these horrible headaches almost daily. I have had the typical migraine headache several times where I see an aura first, then have the blinding headache after where I need to lie down with ice on my head in the dark. For the past year, I have been getting severe bouts of dizziness - the kind where I feel like I will fall while walking or where I can't focus my eyes. I went to ENT and had all this dizzness testing and hearing tests, which were all normal.
He said (and my rheumatologist agreed) that I have vestibular migraines, which are an inner ear migraine. I had never heard of that before, in all my years of research. This was a relief in a way, since it was nothing serious - I was so worried, which I think made the pain worse.
Does anyone else get this kind of headache, and if so what do you do for it? They put me on Topamax (I've been on other migraine meds before that I couldn't tolerate) - I already had to have the dosage lowered because I couldn't handle 50 mg of the Topamax. I'm praying this works. Any advice, please.
Thanks!
