Hey everyone! I know that I have read much on here about
taking big doses of Magnesium to help migraines. I have gone back and searched postings and I just can't find what I am looking for.
Can someone tell me what the recommended dosage is? Also, is it used as a preventative or abortive (I would assume preventatitive)? Is the dosage based on age, weight or what?
Thanks for any and all help. Hope everyone is having a migraine free day. We had storms here last night - I worked all night and started out with a headache. As the night progressed, my headache just got worse and worse. When I got home early this morning, I loaded up on all of my meds (Relpax, prednisone, zofran, dilaudid) and went to bed. When I woke, all better!!!! I hate taking all the meds but I sure love not waking up to my day being all about vomiting, pain ,etc. and then having to make a decision whether or not to ruin my husband and children's day by going to the ER. So........I am sure that taking all these meds is not the best but for me, it has been working great!!!!!
