Help after FESS operation (ENT)

Hi Peeps.
Not sure if ive posted in the correct section but this was the closest i could find.
Ive been suffering from chronic sinusitis for a few years now.
Ive been to the docs and have been referred to ENT for CT scan.
The scan showed that i had lots of sinus polyps.
Last Monday i went in for the FESS operation together with a op to straiten a deviated spectum.
The problem is my head now feels like its going to explode at any moment such is the pressure.
I have been given co codamol for the pain and Nasonex to settle my sinus.
Its only been six days since the operation but i still have no air flow though my nose whats so ever. This means that i cant get the nasonex to penetrate at all and the nasal douching is also not penetrating. Same problem with steam ect.
when i look up my nose i can see that the swelling is completely blocking it.

I lost my job just before christmas and i have a interview on monday for which i need to be at my best....
what i want to know, is there any way i can speed recovery up and make myself a bit better for monday?
Can i take a decongestant like sudafed? Ive read else where that sudafed or another decongestant might not be a good idea since it reduces inflammation in the nose by restricting blood flow to the infected areas. Blood flow being important to healing.
