Hi all,
I have been suffering from migraines since i was 16, i am now 29, theyt seemed to have got more frequent over the years. I would average approx 2 each month, i know people have it alot worse, but it was still having a significant bearing on my quality of life.
i decided enough was enough and went to the doctor to finally get it sorted. i had been taking naramig for when i felt a migraine coming on, the visual disturbance being the first symptom, on taking the naramig promptly the effects of the migraine are significantly reduced, however, i wanted a proactive medication and not a reactive medication.
So after a few goes on different preventative tablets none worked, so the doctor decided to prescribe Epilim (sodium valproate)VIEW IMAGE500mg twice a day, which have not been licensed for migraine use. So i wasn't to hopeful of them working as nothin seemed to prevent the migrianes.
Now, 8 months on and im still taking my Epilim (sodium valproate)VIEW IMAGE500mg twice a day and i have not had one migraine. To me this is a miracle and long may it last, i can now go about my daily life without the thoughts of when the next one will strike.
I hope you find this helpful.
