Four days ago I woke up with a bad headache. Maybe a 5 on a scale of 10. Throughout the day it got worse, maybe a 7. Tuesday I woke up with the same, maybe a 5. But by the end of the day it was a 10. There was constant throbbing, I could not look up or bend down cause the pressure was incredible. My eye hurt to touch. Looking in any direction was painful. It was difficult to sleep cause the pain was constant. I tried sudafed, claritin, extra strength tylenol. Wednesday when I woke up the paint was still there, maybe a five. Maybe 30 minutes after I woke up I got extremely dizzy/light-headed/naucious to the point of feeling fain, as well my body got extremely hot even to the touch. This sensation lasted about 5 minutes. Oddly, some of the head pain went away during this time. Though it did come back. I went to the doctor and he prescribed vicodin and has ordered an MRI. I have never had migranes and even rarely get any kind of a headache. The vicodin seems to have helped. Before there was so much pain I could not isolate the pain. Now with most of the "ambient" pain gone I have this residual pain in my right eye. Still sore to the touch and still hurts to look around. I called my eye doctor and he did say there are things with eyes that can cause these symptoms. Anybody have any insight on this? I am 41 year old male, great blood pressure, on Simvastatin for cholesterol. Otherwise pretty healthy.
