^^^ Do you have a source that states this? I've never heard of that before. And I certainly would not recommend straying from Vitamin C...
@ ashley82
I used to get very painful migraines very often. I did an internal cleanse (which also triggered maybe one of the worst I've had, but the pain subsided after 2 to 3 days) and have kept to a vegetarian/vegan/organic diet ever since. I haven't had a migraine in almost 3 years.
Do any mental illnesses run in your family? Often times unexplained migraine headaches are linked to a diagnosis of bi-polar, manic depression, or schizophrenia. These diagnoses usually don't occur until a few years after the onset of migraine, even if it clears up.
My neurologist had me on a low dose of Topamax as a preventative for about
6 weeks. It didn't work for me, but it may work for you. My neurologist was quite horrible. I told him that medication after medication did not help my Migraine, and he eventually told me just to take Aleve and "stop faking it". I cried.
If you believe that an internal cleanse will help, you should most definitely try it. Often times we're in so much pain that we can't hear what our bodies are telling us. Do as much research as you can, and be sure to ease in and out of it. You may suffer from a vitamin deficiency, as well, so I recommend researching and visiting a holistic doctor in your area. We often don't consider how BAD what we put in our bodies actually is. There are so many diseases, toxins, pesticides, and hormones in our food today that we don't even know about
. I recommend reading "Skinny B*tch". Even if you don't have an issue with weight, it's jam packed with tons of useful and necessary information that we need to live our healthiest lives.
Let me know if you have any questions about
cleansing. I've tried many.
