I have suffered from severe "classic" migraines since elementary school, and so I know very well after 30 years of migraines the precursors or "aura" associated with mine. One of them is a stabbing pain - always in the same spot - in my upper right parietal area. This is usually followed by vision loss, and then the full-blown migraine headache. The good news is that after 30 years I have found the cause of mine (it was a long and tedious process of elimination) - CARAMEL COLOR. This is the dark brown food coloring found in large quantities in Coke, brown colored soups, sauces, and even baked goods. You really have to read labels, because it pops up EVERYWHERE, sometimes where you least expect it. These days I avoid everything caramel/caramel color and so far, so good. Good luck.
