ok guys, this has been a very long struggle of mine for many years (approx 11 years) of intense head pressure.
my history:
1. as a child i had asthma, allergies, headaches.
2. as a teen intense head pressure mainly upon waking up in mornings or after any nap
3. as and adult noticed my left nostril was restricted and could hard get any airflow through it accompanied with all the symptoms as mentioned in 1 and 2.
now at the age of 27 and had gone to the doc's many times and been told to take sinus, allergy, antibiotic medication over and over again, i got fed up. i finally requested to get a CT scan and see what's inside my head that's causing all the pain... if it was a tumor i was prepared and actually would have been relieved to know that b/c then i'd at least know what was going on with me. (at this point i was so miserable i'd rather be dead)
CT scans came back and showed that i had a chronic sinus infection along with a slight deviation of the septum...
At this point i was very relieved to know that i was right and there is something in my freakin head that's more than likely causing me all the pain. I soon saw an ENT and he recommended that i have a septoplasty to first fix the deviation...
During surgery the ENT discovered that i also had a Septal Spur as well! it's now 5 days after my surgery and still have the splints in my nose to help the septum heal. so far it feels like the worst sinus infection iv'e ever had, however iv'e already noticed that this specific pain that i had in my head before is close to not even being there, even after waking up. also i haven't taken any pain pills for 2 days so it's not the pills that are soothing the pain.
If anyone else has had this surgery any comments would be appreciated on your experience. ill keep you guys posted on the head pressure and if it comes back.
