Have stumped doctors, private care and all other therapies...PLEASE HELP!!

Hello everyone,

I am a 21 year old female and I have been suffering from chronic daily headache, Sinus problems and migraine for 8 years now. I have been to many specialists but they have been unable to help me.

From the age of 13, I have been on medication after medication. Ranging from anti-depressants, beta-blockers, anti-convulsants, anti-migraine, decongestants. I have had 2 brain scans, which were normal, sinus surgery in 2008 and have also tried countless of therapies including, massage, aromatherapy, accupuncture, kinesiology, homeopathy and physiotherapy. I went to the dentist to get a mouth guard as I thought I may be clenching my teeth together at night time.

I wake up everyday with a throbbing sensation on both sides of my head, it usually gets worse as the day goes on and often wakes me from my sleep during the night. The pain can also be above my eyebrows which is thought to be from my sinuses. I have recently had another sinus scan which came back clear, so I really don't know what causes that pain.

This condition is so dibilatating and my social life has suffered greatly over the years as I am always too ill to go anywhere.

Just incase your wondering, I am very healthy, drink enought water, exercise everyday and work full-time.

I would be so very grateful if anyone could give me any information to help me.

Hi Kynny, I am so sorry you are suffering so much. I too struggle with chronic daily headaches and migraines (plus a few other delights). I have had the head pain since around age 18 after a car accident. I have seen all the specialists and had all the tests done and nothing has shown up. It is very frustrating to say the least. I have tried all of the so called migraine meds, triptans, ergots etc, etc. Nothing works. Now I am being treated by my family doc who put me on oxycontin for the headaches and fibro. It is the only thing that has helped me at all! I finally have my life back. I also take a bunch of other things to act as preventives, so it kind of boils down to finding the right mixture of meds. Are you under a doctors care right now? I hope that you can get some much needed relief soon! Oh and welcome to our family, this is a great place to be. I hope you keep coming back, you will find all kinds of information here and most of all alot of poeple who care and can relate to your pain. Take care.

As I shared with another migraine suffer just a few moments ago, my husband suffered for years, tried all the drugs available, lot's of side effects, very little relief.
