I had my first optical migraine ever (age 63) in February. It lasted about
fifteen minutes with an aura followed by a slight headace that lasted throughout the day. Since February I have had three more with the last one being last Saturday. They don't last long but disrupt my eyesight while it is happening.
I am not sure why I'm having this happen but I am a very allergic person. I spray my nose with Nasalcrom at the onset of the aura and this seems to help. Nasalcrom is what I use for my allergy symptoms.
I have made an appointment with my eye doctor but can't get in until late August because I'm my husband just had major surgery.
If anyone has these same type of migraines, please let me know what the triggers are and what you have found out from any doctor's visits. I'm perplexed at this point.
