I just found this site a couple days ago and have found some wonderful information on here. It has been great. I am just wondering if anyone has any advice for me as I go through all my issues with my migraines.
I was dx'd with migraines about 13years ago after 3 days of vomiting, severe head pain and having an IV in my arm as I worked night shift taking vitals on my patients. Since then I think I have been on about every medication thinkable for migraines and they have just gotten worse as the years go on. I am not 34 years old and get about 3-4 a week and I now have to use usually two of my Imitrex nasals 10 mgs, one right when it is starting and then another about an hour later to make it somewhat go away. I also take naproxen with it. Daily I take 200 Mg of Topamax and 120 mg of Inderal and I am still getting 3-4 migraines a week. I see a neurologist and also a neurosurgeon. I had my first MRA and MRI with contrast ever in April this year. Just by chance we found a 2mm aneurysm in my ICA in the left cavernous segment, which is kind of behind my left eye, I was told by both the neuroogist and neurosurgeon that this has nothing to do with my migraines. Also found was deep lesions in my white matter, which was something that my neurologist was concerned with a bit so she wants my migrianes to slow down but they won't.
I am jsut wondering if anyone has any advice. I have been on all kinds of preventive meds and also abortive meds. I just don't want anymore lesions to form in my white matter becacuse that can cause stroke and what causes the lesions is migrianes.
Thanks for reading all this!
