I have had headaches, neck and back pain for a number of years. I was diagnosed with TMJ and although some of the symptoms related to that have gone away, the headaches remain. I have headaches everyday in various places but mostly in the back of my head. I wake every day and take 2 excedrine, 2 hours later ibuprophin (I alternate when I can) and usually one or the other in the afternoon. This has been everyday for a few years. If I am having a good day, it is usually just in the morning. I actually did get concerned and mentioned it to my dr who ran blood test for liver or gastointestinal side effects which came back as normal. He told me that little old ladies take things for arthritis every day and do not have issues and did not seem concerned. I recently read an article that my daily headaches could be a rebound headaches. Since I have legitimate pain issues that may not be related to rebound headaches, what is the best way to stop the over the counter medication and treat the other pain issues. Does it sound like it is possibly rebound headaches? Thanks so much!
