Stinging Headache above right eyebrow??

Hello im new to this website and i dont really have a clue how to use it but I need some advice on a couple of syntomes I've been getting recently..
basically it started the other night, a stinging unbelievably painfull headache above the right eyebrow, i was in tears and everything it was that bad couldnt open my eyes or even move, took ibuprofen and co codamol no improvement what so ever.. then went to the hospuital hoping for help, but all the said is it's an infection your gonna have to deal with it and gave me painkillers that helped for one night just kicked off again earlier and im in very strong pain!? help please !

An infection? what exactly is infected?, and if so, why didn't they give you antibiotics?
Self help?, if it's sinus, try hot steam to break up anything that way; otherwise, get to a real doctor on Monday.
