Does anyone ever have jaw pain with migraine? It feels like my teeth on both sides of jaw hurts.

I have terrible clenching and jaw problems, especially when I am suffering from a migraine. It's very odd becuase i was try extremely hard not to clench when my head feels off and for some reason, there is absolutely no way to stop it. My dentist says I should get a mouth guard but insurance doesn't cover it.

Hi ive just joined this forum...
Ive found that i grind my teeth without even knowing. my dentist told me.. and advised me to try a mouthguard,, it was made for me ,and i can say it took me over 3 weeks of keep trying it .. wearing for a short time.. then longer and longer.. and it does actually help with the pain in jaw joint,, not massively but some help is better than none.. I also got dr to prescribe me nortriptylene for my migraines.. as i was told that i was taking too many zomig,, only 10 plus a month..which isnt excessive. but neuro seemed to think i had medication oversuse headaches.. He told me to stop them completely well no chance.. i couldnt do it.. but since treating my sinus headache with anti biots and starting the nortrip.. ive now had 6 days with just about
pain free heads.. and only 1 migraine which i treated with zomig and was able to function again a few hours later ..

wakeboarder, I noticed zomig has stopped helping me. Do you take one or two? I usually take one and then another after a couple hours if the migraine has not improved. I also take ponstel which is an NSAID that seems to help but lately I would have to take two of them to control things, sometimes even two doesn't help.
I saw another post on here about
grinding. I may try one of those nightguards you can get through the internet, I can't afford the one from the dentist but it's good to know it's helping you a bit.
